Karin's Havupuu extract drink has been studied at universities

Karin Havupuu-uuutejuoma is a drink made from the bark and sap of young organic pine trees, which has been produced for almost 50 years on the Koski farm in Siikain, and it has gained a legendary reputation among users of the drink.

Already in the 1990s, we got involved in research projects, thanks to which several Finnish universities began to study the content of Karin Havupuu extract drink. According to university research, the total amount of identified phenolic compounds in one deciliter of Karin Havupuu extract drink is up to 35 mg. Among the phenolic compounds, according to studies, the drink contains the most resveratrol and catechin.

Resveratrol is also abundant in red wine, red grapes and linden. Catechins, on the other hand, are found in tea, for example.

Pines and their compounds are still objects of interest in many Finnish and international research projects.
